The Conant High School Booster Club will host its 38th annual craft fair Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Conant High School (700 East Cougar Trail, Hoffman Estates, Illinois). Admission for the event is $1.
This year, more than 250 crafters will have booths set up selling a variety of goods. Attendees will also be able to enter for a chance to win a variety of prizes including items donated by the crafters and gift cards to many area businesses.
Earlier this year, Township High School District 211 unveiled the new “Incoming Freshman Handbook.” The handbooks were designed to aid and simplify the process for students preparing to enter high school.
“In the past, we’ve had a series of separate mailings,” said Mark Kovack, Associate Superintendent for Student Services. “These were disjointed and perhaps not as engaging.”
Students throughout Township High School District 211 who are considering summer internships are encouraged to start speaking with their school’s career advisors soon. The district’s internship program offers students to work with area businesses to learn skills which will benefit them in their future.

The Family and Consumer Science Department at James B. Conant High School unveiled their new culinary arts kitchen Sept. 19. The new classroom expands the abilities of the culinary arts programs at the school.
