In recognition for academic excellence and overall positive educational institutions, Township High School District 211 recently received an award that puts it tops in state. District 211 was one of 78 school districts, out of 866 districts in the state to receive the SchoolSearch 2013 “Bright Red Apple Award.” Only 25 of the 78 Illinois school districts serve high school students. District 211 Website Earns Third Consecutive Award for Transparency

For the third consecutive year, Township High School District 211’s website was awarded for its transparency of information to the public. A 2013 Sunny Award was given to the District from editors of the Sunshine Review on March 5. District 211 received a perfect score for its website efforts out of 7,000 reviewed government websites. High School District 211 has 20 students that were awarded prestigious National Merit Scholarships for their outstanding academic and extracurricular accomplishments. Scholarships are based off of corporate-sponsored awards financed by roughly 200 corporations, company foundations, and other business organizations. Bob Bregy
Bob Bregy, former High School District 211 mail room supervisor and now retiree, was the March 2012 recipient of Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization's Shining Star Award. He was recognized for going above and beyond in his role as a community partner at a NSSEO work experience site. Bregy has welcomed District 211 students who attend Kirk School into the Administration Center mail room throughout the past three years. Modifying old habits takes time to get used to and might not be immediately noticeable, but thanks to the efforts from District 211 faculty, staff, and students, tiny changes have amounted to something huge.
