D211 Post: Donor’s Generosity Feeds Giving

The High School District 211 Foundation recently received a donation of more than $1,000 from a generous individual to pay for 10 students to receive breakfast and lunch for the upcoming semester. The funds will also remove lunch debt accrued last semester. As word of this donor’s generosity spread, the District 211 Foundation began receiving additional donations to pay for reduced-price meals.  Thirty-five percent of District 211 students qualify for the national meals program.
