Important District 211 Calendar Dates for 2016-2017 Academic Year

August 15th is the First Day of School
  In order to maximize the value of each instructional day, District 211 adopted a collegiate-style calendar, which will take effect after a shortened summer with the 2016-2017 school year. With the new calendar, first semester, including final exams, will end in December before students leave for winter break, and the school year will conclude, including final exams, prior to Memorial Day. 109 District 211 Students Earn Certified Nursing Assistant Credentials

Students in District 211’s Certified Nursing Assistant Program have recently earned credentials that can help start their careers. Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates High Schools Participate in Red Nose Day

Yesterday, District 211 schools participated in Red Nose Day to raise funds for children in poverty. Students at both Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates High Schools created campaigns and fundraised. Student Council at SHS was in charge for Red Nose Day. New Head Baseball Coach for Hawks

Chuck Abbott has been named varsity head baseball coach at Hoffman Estates High School, effective with the 2017 season.  Abbott, who is currently an assistant coach, will replace Todd Meador at the helm of the Hawks’ baseball program.  Meador entered the spring 2016 season as the winningest coach in Hoffman Estates High School history with 233 wins spanning 17 years as head baseball coach.  He is stepping down after the 2016 season in order to spend more time with his family. Hoffman Estates High School was recently recognized as a Project Unify Champion School because of the involvement of students and coaches with the Illinois Special Olympics program. Hoffman Estates High School Earns 2016 Energy Star Certification

Hoffman Estates High School has earned the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star Certification for its building.
