At its September 12, 2013 meeting, the Board of Education honored six High School District 211 students for achieving a 36, the highest possible composite score, on the ACT exam. Hoffman Estates High School Graduate Completes Four Performances on David Letterman Show

For many high school graduates, an average day is spent going to college classes, hanging out with friends, playing sports, and staying up late doing homework. Then for some high school graduates, they spend four nights in New York staying up late to perform on the David Letterman Show with their band. In a fierce battle between 13 teams from across the country, five Fremd High School students competed in an auto competition that deemed to be a once in a lifetime experience. Students Alex Cook, Avery Olson, Tyler Raap, Bogdan Sabados, and Maurice Schuerke competed in the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow (HROT) Competition at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. High School District 211 has 20 students that were awarded prestigious National Merit Scholarships for their outstanding academic and extracurricular accomplishments. Scholarships are based off of corporate-sponsored awards financed by roughly 200 corporations, company foundations, and other business organizations.
