Apply to become a Substitute Teacher in District 211

High School District 211 will hold a substitute teacher job fair on November 8, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the District 211 G.A. McElroy Administration Center, 1750 S. Roselle Road in Palatine. At the job fair, District 211 will be begin the employment process and provide overview and training for new substitute teachers. First, we will verify your application materials and the documents required within the application. Then, we will provide you employment paperwork, and you will be able to sign-up for a mandatory fingerprint background check. Those who arrive earlier will likely be able to receive their fingerprint background check on the same day. Overview and training information for substitute teaching candidates will be available during the following times: 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. You may attend any of these sessions.

Please complete the application in full prior to attending the substitute teacher job fair and bring a printed copy of the full application with you. Also, please be in possession of the following information (failure to supply the required information will result in a delay in being activated as a District 211 substitute teacher):

1.) A photocopy of your current driver’s license or Illinois ID card and a photocopy of your Social Security Card or Birth Certificate, or a photocopy of your valid Passport (not expired)
2.) A voided check, if you would like direct deposit for your paycheck
3.) A printed copy of your full District 211 application, which includes the bloodborne training certificate and a copy of your ISBE license information
