A copy of the D211 Career Expo program is available here, including a listing of participating companies and an event map.
Township High School District 211 will host a large-scale Career Expo on April 4, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Palatine High School. The event is free and is open to all District 211 students. The Expo will feature a variety of local businesses and will focus on four areas: internships, career exploration, apprenticeships, and jobs.
District 211 Internship Coordinator Jan Brottman said this event is a chance for students and businesses to come together.
“It’s a great networking event,” Brottman said. “It gives area businesses an opportunity to invest in the next generation. It is a great community outreach program for these businesses which will allow them to close the skills gaps many companies are facing.”
Brottman added the event will help students connect their pathways to careers as businesses will be grouped by career cluster with all 16 clusters being represented.
Students wishing to attend this year’s Expo are encouraged to have their resume prepared and dress professionally as some businesses will be conducting interviews. Students should register to attend by going to https://tinyurl.com/D211CareerExpoRegistration. Bus service will be available for the event.
