D211 Post: Schaumburg High School Celebrates Opening of New Cafeteria
Students at Schaumburg High School walked into a celebration during their lunch periods on Friday as the school held a grand opening celebration for the newly designed cafeteria.
One of the most noticeable changes the students saw was a larger and more open serving area. The new layout also included couch-like benches along one of the walls.
Freshman Mariya Marinska said she enjoys the new layout.
“It’s very inviting,” said Marinska. “It feels like we can enjoy our food in a fun setting.”
During the day’s festivities, students were given raffle tickets which they could use to enter drawings for a variety of prizes including free lunch for a year. Students enjoyed free cotton candy and root beer floats during their lunch periods.
