While many celebrate Valentine’s Day with chocolate and flowers, the wrestlers and cheerleaders from Hoffman Estates High School had something else in mind for the holiday. For the past three years, HEHS’ wrestlers and cheerleaders have shared their Valentine’s Day with the residents of Alden Poplar Creek Rehabilitation and Health Center in Hoffman Estates. Hoffman Estates High School Athletes Honored with ‘Great Citizens Award’ for Community Service

The Village of Hoffman Estates honored Hoffman Estates High School athletes for volunteering efforts that made an impact in their community. The varsity wrestling and cheerleading squads from Hoffman Estates High School were presented with “Great Citizens Award” from the village on April 15. Hoffman Estates High School Cheerleaders, Wrestlers Spread Kindness on Valentine’s Day

While many were giving their significant others roses and chocolates on Valentine’s Day, students at Hoffman Estates High School turned the holiday into much more with a few small valentines and their ability to entertain with school spirit. Hoffman Estates wrestling and cheerleading teams volunteered their time at Alden Poplar Creek Rehabilitation and Health Center on Valentines Day to share some love with the residents at the center.  The cheerleaders performed cheers and the HEHS fight song while the wrestlers sang “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.” The teams also passed out valentines made by the local elementary school students. “...
