FHS Students ‘Grant Wishes’ to Local Children During the Holidays

National Honor Society (NHS) students at Fremd High School helped grant wishes to local children to make the holiday season one to remember. In December, 250 juniors and seniors in NHS participated in the annual Grant-A-Wish event that helps purchase, wrap, organize, transport, and deliver gifts for 370 kids in both the Palatine community and the city of Chicago. “The event means a lot to our students,” said Jaclyn Han, English teacher and counselor at Fremd High School. “Seeing the faces of the kids receiving holiday cheer was really something our students loved.” Juniors prepared wishes for the Angel Tree Program in Palatine. ...

Fremd High School NHS Students Grant Wishes for Chicago, Local Charities

For this holiday season, National Honor Society students at Fremd High School participated in the largest service event of the school year. Each year, roughly 240 NHS students grant wishes for Angel Tree and Grant a Wish. The students receive a certain amount of wishes from the organizations, and they volunteer their time and efforts to help make a child’s holiday season a bit brighter.
