Fremd High School Varsity Vikettes Score Solid Second in State Competition

The Varsity Vikettes at Fremd High School had a busy season. The team, which is coached by Shana Dinham, began competing in the fall with the Viking Marching Band.  Highlights of the team’s season included performing in the Illini Marching Band Festival at the University of Illinois and securing a second place finish in state competition. Fremd High School Band Performs in Florida During Winter Break

Band students from William Fremd High School had the opportunity to perform in Florida during their winter break the last week of December. 115 students from the band program performed in Tampa and Orlando, Fla.  The Fremd "Florida Band" consisted of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in the school's four symphonic bands.  Band Director Matthew Moore and eleven parent chaperones accompanied the students on the trip.
