18 District 211 Students are National Merit Semifinalists for 2015

Township High School District 211 has 18 students that have been named semifinalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Competition. Semifinalists are selected based on scores on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (P.S.A.T./N.M.S.Q.T.).  William Fremd High School students Justine M. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced a group of students that have received the prestigious National Merit Scholarship financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Two District 211 students are recipients. Conant High School senior Kshama Shah and Fremd High School senior Chung Ho Lee received National Merit Northwestern University Scholarships. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the group of students that have received the prestigious National Merit $2,500 Scholarship for their outstanding academic and extracurricular accomplishments. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the first group of students that have received prestigious Corporate-Sponsored Merit Scholarships for their outstanding academic and extracurricular accomplishments. Conant High School Senior Awarded a National Merit Scholarship

A senior at Conant High School recently received an award for academic achievements from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, and is the only student representing Township High School District 211 for this award. Mariah Ghant was one of 800 outstanding black American high school seniors who earned a $2,500 Achievement Scholarship award through the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
