D211 Post: District 211 Alternative Schools to Hold Graduation Ceremony May 16

Township High School District 211 will hold its 26th-annual commencement ceremony for the District’s Alternative High School programs on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Hoffman Estates High School (1100 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates), beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium. Graduates from the Class of 2019 at District 211 North Campus, Higgins Education Center, and Alternative High School will receive their diplomas during the ceremony. D211 Post: North Campus Students Give Back to the Community

Students from District 211’s North Campus filled food packets at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg as part of a program called The Circle of Courage.  The students filled enough packets to feed 72 children for a year.             Jessica Quinterro, a social worker with North Campus, said the program has four key components, Belonging, Mastery, Independence, and Generosity, which help students build a better sense of self-worth.  Volunteering at Feed My Starving Children focused on the fourth component.              ...

Township High School District 211 schools will host its annual Parent Open Houses. William Fremd, James B. Conant, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, and Schaumburg High Schools will hold Parent Open Houses on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016.  Parents are invited to follow shortened versions of their child’s schedule (10- to 14- minute segments) as well as take part in other special activities and events.  The District’s two alternative schools, District 211 North Campus and Higgins Education Center, also will host open houses on September 1. Board Approves Facility Name Change to District 211 North Campus

The District 211 Board of Education approved to change the name of a District 211 facility formerly known as District 211 Academy-North. At its June 16, 2016 meeting the Board of Education approved to name the facility District 211 North Campus. This title allows programs occupying the building (District 211 Alternative Learning Academy and District 211 Academy-North) to cultivate their own identity.  Parents, students, community members, and staff members will benefit from each program at the site maintaining distinct individual names.
