Saxons Name New Head Girls Volleyball Coach

Tim Murphy has been named as the new head girls volleyball coach at Schaumburg High School, effective with the 2017 season.  Murphy will replace retiring coach Jeanette Pancratz, who has coached at Schaumburg High School for the past 27 years of her 36-year career as a teacher and coach.  During her tenure at SHS, Pancratz amassed 824 total career wins, making her one of the top-15, all-time winningest girls volleyball coaches in Illinois.    “Coach Pancratz has positively impacted and shaped the girls volleyball program into what it is today through her expertise, passion, and dedication,” said Schaum...

District 211 participated in the PARCC Test on March 3. SHS Permanent Legacy Display in the Works

Decorated in the halls of Schaumburg High School are various plaques and distinctions that showcase the legacy of several current and former students. In an effort to celebrate even more of SHS, the VIPs are opening the opportunity for current and former students alike to engrave their legacy for all to see as they enter the school building. The SHS Saxon Leave Your Legacy Paver is an arrangement of engraved bricks that will be located outside the main entrance near the flagpole at SHS. Proper CPR, AED Training Saves Man’s Life During SHS Softball Game

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary during a Schaumburg High School freshman girls’ softball game on April 16, until the game came to a shocking halt and a man’s life was saved. Athletic trainer Kelly Wika and parent Joe Boshold acted without hesitation when volunteer assistant coach Rich Keller collapsed and was unresponsive due to an apparent heart attack. Keller, who is the father of softball coach and SHS Social Studies teacher Brittany Moll, was coaching third base. Immediately after Keller went down, Wika sprang into action.
