Schaumburg High School Band Presents Upcoming Awards Concert

The Schaumburg High School Music Department will present its annual Band Awards Concert on May 19. The concert will be held in the school’s main gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The evening will feature performances by the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Cadet Band. Three senior students Robert Bach, Kyle Picchi and Corey Loft will be featured while performing the snare drum solos for "Field Ayres" by Douglas Richard. Schaumburg High School’s Upcoming ‘Band-Aid Concerts’ to Benefit Epilepsy Foundation

Students in Schaumburg High School’s band programs are dedicating a performance series to raise funds for a cause. The Schaumburg High School Band will present its annual series of Band-Aid Concerts, taking place March 17 and 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Weimer Auditorium. The Cadet and Concert Bands will perform the first night with the Symphonic Band, and with Wind Symphony the second night. In addition, guest conductor Tom Beckwith will be featured with all four bands. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. Schaumburg High School Bands Prepare for Holiday Concert Series and Outback Bowl

The Schaumburg High School Music Department is gearing up for its series of holiday concerts to celebrate the season. The music department will proudly present its annual series of Holiday Band Concerts on Dec. 16 and 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Schaumburg High School auditorium. Tickets are $2 and are open to the public. The first night will feature the Concert and Symphonic Bands, and the Cadet Band and Wind Symphony will perform the second night. FHS Symphony Band Earns Top Honors

The Fremd High School Wind Symphony recently earned top honors and first place of the 6A Division at the "State of Illinois Concert Band Contest" hosted by Illinois State University on Saturday April 28. The band received straight "Superior/Division 1" ratings from all three collegiate judges representing the University of Illinois, University of Kentucky, and Bowling Green State University. The band also was awarded the fourth-highest point total out of 24 bands participating in the two-day festival.
