As emphasis on the importance of post-secondary education continues to increase, more high cheap mlb jerseys school institutions are feeling the pressure to see graduates succeed. That’s why District 211 is expanding its dual credit courses for students to prepare for higher education and the workforce.
The dual-credit courses are in partnership with William Rainey Harper College, and allow District 211 students to enroll in both academic and technical courses for high school and college credit. The courses were approved Levie at a March 15 Board Meeting.
Township High School District 211 was recognized with a "Sunny Award" from the Sunshine Review on March 8, 2012. The award honors the most transparent government web sites in the country, and District 211 was one of 19 honorees in Illinois, which included 7 school districts. This is the second consecutive year that District 211 has been honored with the award.
“The Sunny Awards recognizes governments that are doing an exemplary job at proactively disclosing information to taxpayers,” said Michael Barnhart, president of Sunshine Review in an online posting. ...
At its Dec. 8, 2011 meeting, the Board of Education approved the recommendation of a District committee to discontinue the practice of ranking students based upon grade point average. The committee's recommendation is based upon a growing national trend among high schools to eliminate this practice because few, if any, colleges or universities continue to use class rank as a determining factor in the admissions process.
