D211 Post: All D211 Schools Make Chicago Magazine List

            In early September, Chicago Magazine published their annual list of the top public schools.  This year’s tabulation listed all five District 211 schools among the best in Cook County. 

            According to the publication, suburban high schools were rated based on a variety of statistics with graduation rate as the highest while SAT math and reading attainment percentage, income adjusted counting for 12.5% each.

            In the list William Fremd High School makes this earliest appearance on the list, coming in at #5, followed by James B. Conant at 11.  Schaumburg comes in the middle of the list of District 211 schools at 14 while Hoffman Estates and Palatine High Schools appear back to back at 18 and 19 respectively.  The complete list can be viewed on Chicago Magazine’s website.
