College CampusCollege fairs are a great opportunity to learn more about colleges.  Admission representatives from colleges around the country are gathered in one place to provide you with information about their admissions process and answer your questions about programs, student life, and financial aid.

The 2015-2016 District 211 College Night program, “The Future Starts Today,” will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Road in Palatine.  More than 200 representatives from two- and four-year colleges and military academies will provide curriculum and campus information.  College Night is open to all High School District 211 students and their parents.

College Night is a great opportunity for students and parents to visit with college representatives.  If students are not able to visit a college campus, this is the perfect chance for them to introduce themselves to the college representatives who will be reading their applications.  One piece of advice for students: create a label sheet with identifying information on it, such as name, home address, high school, GPA, ACT score, sports and activities, and more.  Students are asked to fill out profile cards at college tables and having these pre-made labels will save valuable time.

Free, round-trip shuttle bus service will be provided from other District 211 schools to Palatine High School.  Parents are asked to take advantage of shuttle buses, since parking is limited.  For more information about College Night, contact your school’s college & career counselor.
