            Hoffman Estates High School celebrated their homecoming game with the theme of Superheroes.  The halls of the school were decorated with likenesses of Superman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man and many others.  The marching band chose to make use of the theme to honor other heroes during their traditional pre-game dinner.             H.E.L.P. Palatine High School Band Featured on Music Education Magazine

During band camp at Palatine High School, a photographer from the music education magazine The Instrumentalistvisited the students and took some pictures of the band. Palatine High School has learned that the band was selected for the cover image of the September 2013 issue. The featured student is Cora Jacobsen, a current band sophomore.  Each day during camp the band had a theme, and the theme for that day was Hawaiian.

PHS Marching Band Featured on CBS 2 Chicago

To get the new school year off on the right foot, the Palatine High School Marching Band was featured on the CBS Chicago Channel 2 morning news show on Aug. 22 with host Vince Gerasole. Coming off of a busy band camp week and preparing for the first day of school, the band showed Chicagoland what it’s like being part of the PHS marching band. “When students first found out, the buzz was how great it would be,” said Raeleen Horn, band director at Palatine High School. “They were very excited and interested.
