The Palatine High School Booster Club has announced that they are accepting applications for their 47th annual scholarship program.  The program will award scholarships of $1,000 to approximately 14 members of the Palatine High School Class of 2021.   To qualify for the scholarship, the applicants must be attending either community college, a 4-year college or university, or a certified trade or vocational school and must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.  If an applicant does not meet the GPA requirement, but has extenuating circumstances, they are encouraged to apply and include a statement explaining their situati...

            The Palatine High School Special Education Department has scheduled its biennial "Cupcakes for a Cause" on March 7 in the school’s cafeteria from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Entry to the event is free and cupcakes will be available for $2.00 each or $20.00 for a dozen.              In addition to cupcake sales, the event features raffles and cupcake judging contests.  Funds raised will be used for special education programs such as Special Olympics, Best Buddies, and Pep Club.  Included in the day is free entertainment for ...

Palatine High School Football Player Starts Flood Relief Fundraiser for Colorado High School

Palatine High School senior and football player River Crane lived in a town called Lyons, Colo. When he heard news about devastating floods that happened in his town and throughout Colorado, he knew he needed to help. Crane launched fundraising efforts at PHS to send to Lyons Middle/Senior High School in Colorado. With the help of the Varsity Club, the PHS Football team will be selling raffle tickets to raise money for the community. Palatine High School Band Featured on Music Education Magazine

During band camp at Palatine High School, a photographer from the music education magazine The Instrumentalistvisited the students and took some pictures of the band. Palatine High School has learned that the band was selected for the cover image of the September 2013 issue. The featured student is Cora Jacobsen, a current band sophomore.  Each day during camp the band had a theme, and the theme for that day was Hawaiian.
